■ 90210 EPISODE SYNOPSIS
CW Synopsis
Full Episode Synopsis
Navid (Michael Steger) and Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) fantasize about their future, but when they tell his parents about their decision to spend the rest of their lives together, things don't go as they planned. Silver (Jessica Stroup) and Dixon (Tristan Wilds) adjust to her new school, while the Wilsons (Lori Loughlin and Rob Estes) are dealing with having Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) as their new house guest. Naomi convinces Annie (Shenae Grimes) to go on a double date with Liam's (Matt Lanter) friend, but Annie is shocked at the way the evening ends. When her older sister, Jen (guest star Sara Foster, "CSI") shows up, Naomi has no idea she is about to shake things up in Beverly Hills. Ryan Eggold also stars. Jamie Babbit directed the episode written by Jennie Snyder Urman.90210 starts out with an amazing video staring Annie introducing West Bev’s new Zero tolerance for After-Prom parties.

Liam turns in a drawing to Mr. Matthews rather than a test, doing just barely enough to pass. Liam mocks Mr. Matthews and leaves just as Ethan is walking in. Liam then heads over to the principal/Ms. Taylor’s office and they tell him that his dad called and is thinking of sending him to a military school, since he clearly doesn’t care about his school work at West Bev.

Naomi and her big sis Jen are moving in to a brand new place (that Naomi has paid for herself, btw) and Naomi asks Jen’s advice on how to get Liam to go to the Prom with her. Her very wise advice? Withhold sex until you get what you want. Very sound, Jen. That night, Liam calls Naomi and invites her to the Prom, and she plays it very cool…until he hangs up the phone!

Silver goes spray tanning and takes advice about Prom from the woman working there…she is clearly freaked out about seeing everyone from WB.

During class the next day, Liam harasses Annie a little bit, and she rushes over to her not-one-of-the-cool-kids stage crew friends, Charlie to be his partner for class. When she gets there, he asks her to Prom, and she reluctantly says yes.

Ethan and Dixon shop for Prom tuxes online, and Ethan confesses that he got into a special All-American LaCrosse camp. Silver walks in and when Ethan says he is not going to Prom because he doesn’t have a date, Silver invites him to go with them as a group, and he agrees.

At dinner, Harry tries to convince Annie to nark on her friends and tell him if there are any after parties going on after prom. Dixon tells his parents that he is not concerned about having fun at Prom, he is only concerned with Silver having fun and realizing that West Bev isn’t so bad so she will be willing to come back to school there next year.

Annie, Adrianna, Naomi, and Silver go Prom dress shopping together. Silver tries on a frilly pink thing and when called out on it not being “her”, she says she is only going to Prom for Dixon. Naomi’s credit card was declined, and she goes right home to ask her sister about it. When confronted, Jen says she invested badly in the market, and she is broke now but will get it all back. Naomi eats up her story. Oooh, also, Jen is going to the Prom with Ryan!

Upon arriving at Prom, Silver has a minor freak out about everyone staring at her, and Adrianna tells her if anything they will be staring at her 8-month big belly. So Silver walks in on the arms of both Dixon and Ethan. Liam does not love the red carpet photos, big shock. Navid gets pissed when he sees Ty (Adrianna’s baby daddy) and almost goes up to him when Adrianna feels something in her giant belly and he makes her go sit down. Annie’s prom date is clearly in love with her, too bad he is kind of a nerd (and a CRAZY dancer!) and she is clearly not interested in him. Dixon is nominated for Prom King.

Ryan introduces Jen, his date, to Kelly who she already knows as Ms. Taylor because she was her guidance counselor back in “the good old days” when Jen was at West Bev. Principal Harry overhears some girls talking about all the alcohol they got for post-prom and he is excited to make his big bust. Charlie asks Annie to go out with him again sometime and she tells him she is not interested in him romantically. He then freaks out to the tune of “Why did you agree to go with me then? Why did you say you’d be thrilled?!” and storms off. Annie said she was just trying to be nice.

The dance wears on and Harry jumps on stage to make a quick announcement about the After Prom party at that girl’s house (the ones that he overheard earlier). The girls is livid and turns to Charlie to ask who could have told him. And guess who he implies it was….Annie.

In the powder room, Jen and Kelly have words. Kelly admits that she and Ryan used to go out, and Jen tells Kelly about how she used to go out with someone in Admissions at Yale, and she was able to read all of her recommendations, including the one Kelly wrote for her calling her a narcissist, a compulsive liar and all other types of bad names. It’s not a very pretty scene and it ends with Jen asking Kelly what Ryan likes in bed (ouch!).

Dixon wins Prom King, beating out Ethan and Ty (among others). Prom Queen is…Erin Silver (Dixon got everyone to vote for her), beating out a pissed Naomi. In her speech, Silver gives a touching speech. To summarize: this year she has struggled a lot to figure out who she is, so thanks for reminder her that this isn’t it. She is not all about Prom, or conforming, or uncomfortable shoes, spray tans or acrylic nails. Meanwhile Kelly, Ethan and Annie (and almost everyone else) and staring at her proudly, while Dixon looks like he is going to throw up. And Naomi jumps in and steals the crown.

Ethan then quotes part of Silver’s speech to Mr. Matthews when explaining that he doesn’t want to go to the prestigious LaCrosse camp this summer after all. The girl whose party got ruined confronts Annie about telling her dad and being a rat, and doesn’t believe Annie when she says she didn’t do it.

Silver thanks Dixon for getting everyone to write her name in for Prom Queen, and she tells him it is exactly what she needed and she is ready to come back to West Bev. Dixon should be happy, but instead is pissed and says she must think he is a zombie prom-loving loser. Ethan then walks up to Silver and tells her what a great speech she gave.

Kelly tells Ryan that Jen is practically a sociopath and he should not date her. Clearly, he takes this to mean that Kelly still likes him, but she sets him straight. Outside, Jen is on the phone with someone named Olivier, who is apparently her husband?!!

Out of nowhere, Navid goes up to Ty and pushes him, calls him a jack ass, and says he is sick of looking at him. Ty hits Navid back, and a brawl ensues. Of course, perfect timing, Adrianna’s water breaks just then.

Naomi and Liam take a walk on the Paramount Studios set and run into Kelly who tells Liam that she is glad to see he went to Prom, and she knows his step-dad will be glad too. Busted! Naomi realizes that’s the only reason she asks him to Prom. But when she is telling him that she likes him, she realizes he likes her too because he looked up on facebook her favorite flower and ordered it for her. Then she even gets him to admit it! And open up about his family! They end the episode slow dancing in the snow, on the NYC set.
