Actor mini-bio: Jessica was born to a Jewish family. She was raised in Queens, NY and graduated from Manhattan's High School of Performing Arts. She trained alongside James Caan and Christopher Lloyd at NYC's Neighborhood Playhouse before catching her big break as a regular on Love of Life.

Her most notable film role was in the 1971 movie, Play Misty for Me, where she portrayed a psychotic young woman stalking a disc jockey (Clint Eastwood).

She went on to play the role of Alexis Carrington in the hit primetime soap opera, Dynasty.

Walter has a daughter, Brooke Bowman. Since 1983, Walter has been married to Ron Leibman, her co-star in the play Rumors.
