Ethan (Dustin Milligan) may have left town, but our favorite zip code is definitely not going to be lacking in the hottie department as yet another gorgeous guy enters the canvas this fall.... EW reports that former Days of Our Lives star Trevor Donovan has been tapped to play Teddy on the hit CW series 90210. According to Zap2It, Teddy is athletically gifted (he happens to be a tennis champ), has a father who is a big time celebrity, and will have a knack for picking up the hottest girls at West Beverly High. RYAN EGGOLD & KELLAN LUTZ Just how close are 90210's Eggold and Twilight's Lutz? The two 24-year-old stars joke about everything – including meeting on the online dating site, Match.com. "He had a great profile," says Lutz, while Eggold jokes, "We had similar interests. Tennis. Badminton. We set up a man date." The truth about their bromance? If they're anything like the old shows, the new 90210 and the upcoming Melrose Place revamp will have some characters crisscrossing between them. Right now, however, it doesn't sound like anything definite has been decided. "I don't know," said Shenae Grimes, who plays Annie on 90210, when I recently asked her about the possibility. "I've heard rumors, but you know, rumors are rumors." What's not a rumor is Annie's turn from a Goody Two-shoes to a bad girl. Grimes said there were never any plans for her character to get darker, but one day… "My producer sat me down and was like, 'Shenae, there is just some sort of intensity behind your eyes. We've got to bring it out somehow,' " Grimes recalled."I was like, 'All right! Cool! Better challenge for me. I get to stir up trouble at work, awesome.' " And speaking of trouble, Grimes said recent tabloid reports that she was kidnapped as a child are rubbish. "Don't believe everything you read," she said. "There was a very minor incident that was blown way out of proportion." Child abduction, she said, is not something that should be sensationalized. "It's a serious subject," Grimes said. "It should not be made light of. My heart goes out to anyone who that has happened to, but it has not happened to me." ADD A COMMENT | 6/9/09 Source: Daily News
Who says you can’t go home again? Andrew Shue, that’s who. The former “Melrose Place” star tells us that no way, no how will he be paying the rent at his former TV address in the series’ new CW network reincarnation. “They wouldn’t have my character [cutie-pie Billy Campbell] back on the show,” Shue confided to us at the Do Something Good awards. “My character was born out of the ’90s. It’s a different era now.”In fact, the actor is displeased about the “Melrose” remake, which stars Ashlee Simpson-Wentz. “I thought for a while, ‘Yeah, it’s great.’ But now I think any great show that had its run and had its place in pop culture should only have one run. ‘Melrose Place’ was a great show in its time, and if I were calling the shots, I would say don’t bring it back. Leave it as it was at its time. That’s the way it should be.” Clearly, other ’90s TV stars disagree. Original “Melrose” placers Laura Leightonand Thomas Calabro will be back in their hip old ’hood for a second time, just like “90210” darlings Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty and Tori Spelling, who all reprised their roles in the updated version.
