| | Kelly (Jennie Garth) and Silver (Jessica Stroup) deal with the shocking news that their mother, Jackie (guest star Ann Gillespie, "Beverly Hills, 90210"), is dying of breast cancer. Kelly doesn't want to be sucked back into her mother's bad behavior, but Silver feels differently. Navid's (Michael Steger) world is turned upside down when Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) reveals that she needs time alone, but turns to Teddy (Trevor Donovan) for attention. Jen (Sara Foster) continues to manipulate Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) and manages to convince Naomi to lend her a large amount of cash. Jasper (guest star Zach Sherman) rescues Annie (Shenae Grimes) from a bad date and the two forge a bond that will be hard to break. Harry (Rob Estes) accompanies Ryan (Ryan Eggold) to a bar for some guy time and attempts to be his wing man. Lori Loughlin, Tristan Wilds and Matt Lanter also star. Liz Friedlander directed the episode written by Mark Driscoll. | Silver is upset about the news that her mom is dying and is debating calling her to make amends. Jasper and Annie are continuing to hang out until Mark (the creep that took the sext of Annie) tells Annie that he pulled a knife on a kid last year and it freaks her out.
Jen asks Naomi for $100,000 “to pay a divorce lawyer”, and Naomi is starting to get sick of footing the bill for her sister. They fight, and later Jen tells Naomi that she is moving out. Naomi eventually breaks and gives her sister a check. Jen then decides to buy a racehorse with the cash, telling Naomi it was a gift. Naomi continues to play Ryan and pretend she likes him.
Adrianna breaks up with Navid and he is understandably crushed. The first thing she does is text Teddy to tell him that now she is free. Ades and Teddy spend a great day together…that is, until, he tells her he is not interested in having a relationship, but rather just having a good time. Navid turns to Teddy for a clue as to why Ades would break up with him like that. Apparently Teddy tells Navi about the kiss he shared with Adrianna, because when she realizes her mistake and goes to get Navid back, he refuses.
Silver goes to see Jackie and she sees that her mom is really sick, with about 3 months to live. Jackie asks Silver to move back home. Kelly finds out that Silver cut a class to be with Jackie and goes over to Jackie’s house to tell her to stay out of Silver’s life. Jackie eventually agrees but now Silver resents Kelly for going behind her back, and decides to live with Jackie after all.
Harry convinces Ryan to let him be his “wingman” and help him pick up chicks. When they go out, Ryan gets a few numbers despite how lame Harry is acting. Harry is frustrated with his daughter, his wife, and Kelly for avoiding him. When he gets home, he accidentally calls his wife Kelly.
Annie decides to go out with Mark, and it turns out just as we thought it might, with a little attempted date rape. Luckily Jasper was around to take care of him. Annie stops being weirded out by Jasper. Jasper later keys Marks car (with a huge knife) and flattens his tires.
